Bathtub & Shower Installations (Tiled or Pre-Built)

Bathtub and shower installs are a multi-trade job — rough plumbing, framing, waterproofing, tile or surround, and finish trim — and the plumbing has to be perfect before any tile goes up. We handle the rough valves, drains, and venting, then come back for the trim and the final pressure test.

Master Plumber On Every Call

Tiled custom shower or pre-built fiberglass insert — we install both, and we coordinate cleanly with your tile setter or general contractor.

Rough plumbing for tiled showers

Mixing valve at the correct height (typically 48" for tubs, 48–52" for showers), valve depth set for your tile thickness so the escutcheon sits flush, shower head stub-out at the proper height (78–80" standard, taller on request), and a hot-mopped or sheet-membrane drain with a clamping ring assembly. We coordinate with your tile setter on the curb height and slope.

Pre-built tub & shower units

Fiberglass and acrylic one-piece units need a perfectly level subfloor, full mortar bed under the pan to prevent flexing, and proper valve and drain alignment. We rough in, set the unit, plumb the trim, and silicone the seams.

Pressure-balance & thermostatic valves

We install Moen, Delta, Kohler, and Grohe pressure-balance and thermostatic mixing valves to manufacturer spec — anti-scald compliance is code in CA for all new shower installs. Diverter and volume controls plumbed and tested individually.

Frequently asked questions

Can you do just the plumbing while my contractor handles the tile?

Yes — we work alongside GCs and tile setters all the time. We come in for the rough, leave the valve and stub heights perfect for the tile, and return for the trim once the tile is set.

How long does a tub-to-shower conversion take?

Plumbing rough takes a day. Total project (demo, plumbing, tile, finish) is typically 5–7 working days, depending on tile cure time.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes. Nava's Elite Plumbing carries a current California master plumber registration, $1M general liability coverage, and workers' comp on every technician. A certificate of insurance naming you or your property manager is available on request before we start.

Do you give upfront pricing?

Every job is quoted in writing before any work begins. We price by scope, not by the hour, so the number you approve is the number you pay — barring scope changes you approve in writing.

Do you require money down?

No deposit on standard service calls. On larger projects (repipes, sewer replacements, gas line installs) we phase work into progress payments tied to city inspection milestones — you never pay ahead of completed work.
